Let?s Rock Christmas
Party like it?s yesterday and join in the fun at a Christmas party like no other. On Thursday 14th December, Let?s Rock Christmas ? The Retro Show, arrives at The SSE Arena Wembley for one night only. Dance the night away to non-stop music from some of the best-loved artists from years gone by including Tony Hadley, Kim Wilde and Go West. It?s the perfect way to start the festive season and get you in the party mood.

Peter Pan Pantomime
Christmas wouldn?t be complete without a trip to see a performance of the season?s hottest pantomime. And this year, it?s definitely one not to miss. The classic story of Peter Pan will be brought to life at The SSE Arena Wembley for an arena spectacular with the performance across three stages, plenty of action and an all-star cast featuring Bradley Walsh and Martin Kemp. But you?d best be quick to get your tickets, performances are for two days only on 29th and 30th December. After the hustle and bustle of Christmas, it?s a perfect post-Christmas activity to enjoy with family or friends.

Christmas Shopping
Whether you?re in need of a gift for the secret santa with your uni friends, something special for your loved ones or you?re simply looking to treat yourself this season, there?s only one place to shop; London Designer Outlet. Packed with everything from clothing and footwear, to beauty products and accessories, you?ll find something for even the most awkward if people to buy for. And when you?re done shopping, rest your feet and enjoy a well-earned drink or bite to eat at one of the coffee shops or restaurants, all under one roof at the shopping centre.

New for 2017, and a world first, head over to Wembley Park and check out Wembley?s latest free attraction for Christmas; Slideatron. A unique and modern take on a Christmas tree, the Slideatron is an 18 metre high LED Christmas tree with a 20 metre long thrill slide. Climb the 60 steps to the top and admire the views of Wembley Park and beyond from the open-air viewing platform, then when you?re done, slide your way down to the bottom for a festive thrill!

Summer days in Wembley


The sun?s shining, the air is warm and summer is here. So, what have you got planned? If you?re not busy working, studying or visiting other parts of the world, then how about an afternoon in some of Wembley?s local parks and outdoor areas? Relax and soak up the sun, get lost in a book or play Frisbee with your friends. Sound good? Check out some of these great green spaces you can enjoy?

King Edward VII Park
Located in Brent – less than a mile away from our accommodation, King Edward VII Park offers luscious green grass space for you to unwind and relax in. There?s a host of sports facilities you can take advantage of to. From bowling greens to football pitches, you?ll never be short of something to do!

Fryent Country Park
Step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and go on an adventure through the 103 hectares of rolling fields and woods of Fryent Country Park. Also located in the Brent area, the park is a wildlife site of metropolitan importance to London, with the woodland comprising of trees including French oak, ash and the nationally rare plant the narrow-leaved bitter-cress.

Barham Park
Head two miles west of Host Wembley and you?ll stumble upon the green grass, pathways and many mature trees of Barham Park. Blooming with bright and beautiful flowers and shrubs in summer, the walled garden is a popular relaxation spot. For those feeling more active, there?s even a free outdoor gym!

Northala Fields
Slightly further afield, but definitely worth a visit is Northala Fields. You?ll find lots of open space to enjoy as well as four large earth mounds – and with the tallest standing at 22 metres it makes an excellent viewpoint with a 360-degree view over the city. And with six fishing lakes, a model boating lake and wildlife ponds, streams and wetland, you can relax on the water?s edge.

January?s over and what better way to celebrate the end of a long month than with a night out? And even though you?ve been living here for a few months, there are probably still places that you?ve not yet visited. So no matter what kind of night you?re looking for, you?re sure to find it right on your doorstep in Wembley?

Dance the night away
Dig out your dancing shoes and jump in a taxi with your friends and head to the close by Camden, where you?ll find some of the most renowned venues and clubs in the City. Boogie all night long to live music and DJs playing everything from hip hop, R&B, and dance to old school classics, pop and disco. A few places to try: Proud Camden, The Camden Assembly, EGG London.

Dinner for two
If you?ve got a romantic date on the cards then why not treat the lucky someone to dinner in Wembley. There?s lots of local and independent Chinese, Indian or Italian restaurants in the area to choose from. Or meet your date at the London Designer Outlet where you?ll be spoilt for choice with over 20 restaurants and coffee shops. Start the night with a cheeky Nando?s, followed by cocktails in TGI Fridays – you can even end the night with a trip to the 9 screen cinema!

A drink down the local
Sometimes it?s nice to grab a drink or bite to eat with your friends, without the pressure of dressing up and making a fuss.
